With the upcoming Canadian Defence Industrial Strategy for the Canadian Armed Forces | Forces armées canadiennes expected to be announced soon by the Government of Canada, it seems like a perfect Sunday snowstorm night to revise the previously published Canadian Defence Tech Market Map, created by AVSS and NORRG.
After reviewing the previous requests for inclusion, this revised Canadian Defence Market Map now includes 290+ Canadian companies. It now includes Canadian companies and stakeholders, such as CyBeats, 123 Cyber Inc., Independent Robotics, Keira Capital Partners Inc., Flowing River Capital, PATLON Aircraft & Industries Ltd, SSI (ShipConstructor & ShipbuildingPLM), C3RiOS Systems, Allen-Vanguard, & Carvalho Capital.
This revision still includes critical stakeholders under the following categories:
Full Stack Solutions: These companies are building out integrated hardware and software stacks. It includes drone and counter-drone companies, maritime solutions (Kraken Robotics), and multi-domain offerings (Calian Group, MDA Space)
Cybersecurity: Canadian companies protecting CAF with critical cyber tools (TrojAI).
Mission Planning, Autonomy Stack, Decision tools, Quantum, MV, AI, Data & Training: These companies provide specific solutions to accomplish mission goals. It includes Indigenous companies (PLATO), air tools (KONGSBERG in Canada), maritime tools (Genoa Design International Ltd.), space-based analysis (CarteNav, ThinkOn, and Ecopia AI), and multi-domain tools (CAE).
